RPO COSMETIC LABORATORY CORP began as single proprietorship undertaking owned and managed by Mr. Renato P. Osabel and Mrs. Lucia V. Osabel. It was in 1983 when Mrs. Osabel started in trading various cosmetic products sourced from different cosmetic companies in Metro Manila. After a few months in the trading business, Mrs. Osabel foresaw a great opportunity in the cosmetic industry. She thought that there still exists a vacuum in the market of cosmetic products and that there are still rooms for improvement that need to be served and/or attended. As she has expected an increased in the demand for cosmetic products, Mrs. Osabel saw the potential of producing low priced and high quality cosmetic products. With her interest and enthusiasm she started researching and developing for formulas of cosmetic products.
After a couple of years in the cosmetics business, trading and learning the “know-how” and the “Ins and Outs” in the field of cosmetics, Mrs. Osabel decided to put up her own manufacturing plant in 1994 in a small lot area of 130 sq. m. at Navotas, naming the company after her husband Mr. Renato P. Osabel, thus RPO Cosmetic Laboratory was established.
Mrs. Osabel was so confident to name their business after her husband because of her husband’s hard work, self-reliance, determination and enduring support coupled with her diplomacy and enthusiasm that pulled them up to what they have accomplished in the present.
Today, the then RPO Cosmetic Laboratory of a single proprietor is now the booming RPO COSMETIC LABORATORY CORP., one of the biggest suppliers of cosmetic products catering to the needs of Classes A, B, and C consumers with the likes of known salons such as the David’s Salons, the Ricky Reyes Haircutters, the Index Salons and the Stylo Salons among others and beauty products supplier Hortaleza.
RPO’s distributors are strategically located in Divisoria, Metro Manila and at the provinces of Cagayan Valley, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Batangas, Quezon, the Bicol Region, Cebu and the Province of Davao. We also cater to the need of salon operators like Reyes Haircutters and Hortaleza.
To meet the growing demand for RPO products, RPO COSMETIC LABORATORY CORP. has to increase production volume with the plan on 2010 of constructing another production plant to be situated at Carmona, Cavite where research and development shall be made for new and improved products to best serve its clienteles.
